About Us

IMG_20170615_212803Borne from a passion for re-purposing and recreating, our business prides itself on its unique hand finished furniture range, unusual vintage items and where possible locally sourced products.

Rustic Boutique is a small local business with a shop front currently situated inside the beautiful heritage walls of the 1860’s union bank of Smythesdale, Victoria. Our small boutique store is a haven of bespoke upcycled furniture and décor as well as being home to a range of beautifully curated vintage items, home décor and home wares, unique gifts and DIY products.

Inspired by pieces of the past we love to find old items with history and character and to reinvigorate these pieces through upcycling to make them both beautiful and relevant to homes and current styling trends. With strong influences of rustic country living our range is inspired by the need for practicality without sacrificing the character and aesthetics of the pieces that we create.

We also love to inspire others to recreate their homes through décor and styling or by giving some of their furnishings a fresh face by learning how to use the specialty paint products that we stock and use. Our custom painting service has proved to be a popular avenue through which many are able to transform areas of their home piece by piece.

Whatever your interests are there is always an option for you. If you are creatively minded you can learn to recreate your own pieces. If you are too busy you can source pieces that have already been given a new lease on life or if you have your own pieces that you don’t have the time of confidence to paint, our custom painting service may be just what you are looking for.

With some imagination and persistence you can create the perfect space to call home.
