Hello to you all on this chilly but lovely winters day.
I thought I would write a short post today updating you all on all things Rustic Boutique for winter.
Treats & Luxury Goodies
We have been doing lots of research (aka many hours wasted invested scouring pinterest and instagram) to find some locally made luxury / indulgent ranges to add to our current ranges at the shop.
Being winter we just couldn’t pass up Grounded Pleasures!! Made in Ballarat this scrumptious range of fair traded hot drink blends are absolutely delicious. And they have a fantastic range too choose from. Craig and Sophie have created a fair traded, gluten free, diary free drinking chocolate that is so addictive and uses top quality ingredients. The Chilli Chocolate is a perfect tummy warmer over winter and the French Mint is very indulgent. I have heard amazing things about the White Hot Chocolate (the only product containing dairy products) which I haven’t tried yet due to my dairy allergy. If hot chocolate is not your thing, then the 7 Spices Chai is a must. With quality spices personally sourced by the owner direct from spice farms in Sri Lanka, this Chai blend is outstanding.
Our most recent addition is the perfectly scented range of luxury bath soaks by Mimosa Botanicals. Hand made in small batches in Castlemaine Victoria by a qualified aromatherapist, these bath soak blends go beyond your standard bath salts. Just check out the beautiful shot below courtesy of Mimosa Botanicals Website.
With the blends utilising certified organic or Australian essential oils with organic botanicals and lovely little extra’s like Australian organic oats, coconut cream powder, organic fair trade cocoa butter and Australian clay’s create a simple yet luxurious bathing experience. I can’t wait to have a long hot bath with some of these luxurious bath soaks. Hurrah!
As usual we have a good range of our hand poured high quality soy candles in stock. Hand poured by a local candle maker Mia & Talbot, our vintage container candle range has proven to be so popular. From candles in vintage jars, blue and white china cups, enamel cups and bowls and assorted other unique vintage bowls, these candles make a unique and divinely scented option. With excellent scent throw and high quality fragrances we just love all the fun shapes and sizes and smells these lovely candles come in!
We currently have a few other things up our sleeves but that is for another day!
Chalk Paint – Frenchic Furniture Paint
Unfortunately we were not able to work out the logistics of importing Frenchic furniture paint at this time so we are back to the drawing board for now and are looking to find a premixed natural Australian furniture paint line to add to our store..
Paint Classes & Workshops
We ran our first Sweet Pickins Milk Paint workshop for the year just recently. The girls had a great time and we received a lot of interest in our classes.
We will be running another Sweet Pickins Milk Paint workshop late this month. We have a tentative date booked in for Saturday June 24th 10am – 3pm pending availability of students, and are looking forward to another fun filled afternoon
Winter has been slow for me with my up-cycling projects, I am currently chewing through a back log of custom work. But rest assured that I have some gorgeous transformations in the pipe line that will be available in store soon. And the most amazing original farm house sideboard we have seen in a long time.. but that is for another day too!
See you soon
