Some Wonderful Furniture Finds & Upcoming Transformations

Good Evening πŸ™‚

I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was great and as per usual went WAY too fast!! One of the highlights of the weekend for me was some great furniture finds that turned into furniture acquisitions and are now awaiting their makeovers hurrah!!

Here are my finds from the weekend in no particular order πŸ˜‰

WP_20140526_001A gorgeous carved french provincial extendable 4 – 6 person dining table and 2 balloon cane back french provincial ornate chairs. The chairs have the most hideous and worn 60’s fabric on them and are in need of a face lift but with some love (and definitely some re-upholstery) they will come up a treat. Don’t even get me started on how much I love this dining table. It has petite turned legs, scalloped edges, ornate carved detail and is an extending table EEEEKKKKKKKKK how wonderful!!!!

Here is a pic of it folded up and in its 4 person form .. and aΒ close up shot

I also managed to get hold of this very sweet little Jacobean Oak Auto Trolley … (the box on top is a gorgeous assortment of silver tea pots and milk jugs .. they are VERY cool)

It looks like someone has started a lil paint job on this piece but given up … I think this piece would look great transformed into a little wine / liquor cupboard!! What do you think?

And of course I had to save the best for last …. behold the very old ….. cedar …. ornate … sideboard

rustic cedar sideboard

This piece caught my attention straight away. It is very interesting with so much character and detail and soooooo much potential … I couldn’t rest till I got my hands on it!!!

I have BIG plans for this piece. I can see it transformed into a rustic kitchen island / station with the top drawer for utensils. the drawer underneath we are going to remove an turn that into a space for wine bottles …. I am dying to start on this one .. and the best bit is it is solid and pretty much ready for its makeover without much structural work at all.

I can’t wait to get started on these pieces so stay tuned for their transformations!!
