Hello to you on this lovely Sunday evening!!
It has taken me this long since Friday nights stall shenanigans to recover enough to find the energy to write about it 🙂
Ok, so for those of you who weren’t aware, Friday night Rustic Boutique set up a stall at a local primary schools night market / mini fete. It was the first time that I had ever done a stall at a small community event like this but I really enjoyed it.
I have only done one other stall prior to this which was for the Buninyong Good Life Festival. My stall was jam packed and I was flat out all day, but seeing as this event would be a much smaller scale event I decided to simplify A LOT!!
My hubby and I decided to focus on taking only pieces that were a ‘one person’ lift and to make lots of cool rustic decor pieces available. It was really hard leaving pieces at home but looking back (apart from the linen cabinet which is quite heavy) it was great having piece that weren’t back breakers to set up on display.
I didn’t want my stall to look too busy or crowded but wanted it to be open and airy. The day before the stall was horrible weather and it poured all day. I was almost thinking that we would have to take a boat instead of a marquee!! But JOY, come Friday morning it was a glorious day and the sun was out and only a gentle breeze. I have some fabulous friends/family who came to help me out which is vital otherwise I would be a having a MAJOR stress attack!!
After all the hard work and set up and me primping, and fluffing around and stacking and re-stacking I think we finally cracked it!! Here it is!!
I think the stall looked great. Open, airy, but pretty and just enough to draw people in for a good sticky beak!! Here are some close up shots of our stock on display!!
I handed out over 100 brochure and got loads of great feedback, In fact I even had one faithful follower from FB who traveled all the way from Colac to come say hello (this made me feel very loved hehe). I loved meeting new faces and seeing those special familiar faces of current clients, friends and family who all made the effort to come out and say hello and show their support. Really you guys are just amazing!!
I can’t wait for my next stall… Its going to be stalltasticly phenomenal haha… It is going to be on the 10th and 11th of May over the Ballarat Heritage Weekend as part of the Pop Up Collectives wonderful Pop-up market, featuring local designers and crafters selling unique goods. I can’t wait for it and have some exciting plans in the works!!!!!
